Go to Control panel, enter System to access your Device Manager Scroll down to the LPT/ COM port then double click Prolific USB to Serial Comm Port Click Driver in the Windows Properties section The driver must be numbered as '2.0.2.8' and dates accordingly. Select the driver your printer is already using, as shown in the printer’s properties window, and click “Next.” Select “Use the driver that is currently installed (recommended)” and click “Next.” This ensures the new printer device is using the same port and printer driver as the original printer device.

Meet Nori

Noriyuki Matsuda is founder and CEO of Sourcenext, Japan’s #1 software distributor, nine years running. In 1993—a true entrepreneur: intelligent, risky and rebellious —Nori left a prestigious position as System Engineer at IBM Japan, Ltd. to pursue his dream of contributing more to society. In 1996, Nori established Sourcenext, a software distributor with a user’s point of view. He attracted a lot of attention—quickly—with his typing tutor game (which has sold more than 6.3 million units to date) and virus software void of an annual renewal fee (the first software company in history to go this route). That was just the beginning. Since that time, Sourcenext has added dozens of influential global partnerships, three-hundred software products (ranging from security, learning and utility) shipped over 30 million unites of product and is now listed at the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. They currently claim 21.9 percent of all Japanese software shares —beating out Microsoft and Symantec—and 8 percent of software revenue.

Devices
  • First, make sure the USB ports at the rear of the computer work by connecting a USB device to the rear port. If the device is not recognized in the rear port, then use the other sections in this document to resolve the problem. Use the following steps to see if the front USB ports have become disconnected from the motherboard.
  • Check port on Linux and macOS¶ To check the device name for the serial port of your ESP32 board (or external converter dongle), run this command two times, first with the board / dongle unplugged, then with plugged in. The port which appears the second time is the one you need: Linux.

Nori is a master at “thinking like a customer”, believing, in most cases, “when you think like a manufacturer, your only focus is profit.” The name SOURCENEXT comes from the company’s strong passion for “Creating the SOURCE for the NEXT generation” and it’s also an acronym for: Speed, Originality, Universality, Reliability, Challenge and Efficiency – all from the customer’s point of view – and his company’s goal is to spread happiness and excitement to people across the globe through top-grade digital products.

Nori is a shrewd businessman, but also the kindest, most personable shrewd businessman you will meet. Adept, nimble, and exceedingly likeable, he’s committed to meaningful and trusting relationships with his partners, employees, customers and beyond. Sourcenext is a digital company, indeed, but Nori does not hide behind a computer. He is people person, through and through; it’s all about meeting in person, making eye contact, shaking hands, and establishing trust. His goal of visiting 1000 retail stores within a three year period was reached, not only to talk with store managers, but staff, and consumers, as well. His in-person strategy is brilliant: he’s given valuable nuggets of information, direct from the field, while building relationships that, ultimately allow him to negotiate for the best possible positioning of his products.

Nori paved the road for his own business in Japan beginning in 1996. He took the risks, put in the time, navigated the waters, built the relationships, succeeded—and continues to do so—for the benefit of his partnerships and consumers today. Like a master adept at his craft: Nori makes connecting with the complex Japanese market look so easy.

TCP/Com®

Multi-function Serial <-> Ethernet Redirection Software

Multifunction serial to ethernet (and ethernet to serial) interface software. Easily access a serial device via a TCP/IP or UDP network or redirect Ethernet/IP data to real or “Virtual” RS232 serial ports. This allows you to use existing Windows-based serial RS232 communications software to send and receive data across any TCP/IP network.

TCP/Com software is extremely simple but powerful. It can be used to solve a wide variety of device interfacing and RS232 or TCP/IP conversion problems, such as the following:

  • Turn a PC into a Serial Device Server (Terminal Server)
  • Send or receive data over a TCP/IP port with any serial communications program
  • Open COM ports located on another computer in your network as if they were local
  • Use Ethernet network (or the Internet) as a giant serial RS232 cable (Serial Tunneling)
  • Feed data from one physical RS232 port to multiple RS232 serial communications applications
  • Map a TCP/IP port to a different TCP/IP port

Use TCP/Com as a Serial Device Server (Learn More)

Share serial devices over a network (or even the internet)

Use TCP/Com as a Virtual Serial Port Splitter Cable (Learn More)

Windows does not allow multiple programs to access the same COM port. Bypass this restriction by using TCP/Com to split a single COM port into multiple virtual COM ports. This allows all your serial communications programs to access the same data.

Intuitive Multi-Document Interface

In the TCP/Com window just select the com port number and the serial communications parameters for your serial device and enter an IP address and a socket number. Then activate! It's that easy! Com port data will appear at the IP address and data from an IP port will appear at a real or virtual com port.
